Sioux Falls, SD - September 1, 2005 - Sweetman Const. Co. d/b/a Concrete Materials announced Thursday morning that it has acquired the Gage Brothers’ block plant in Harrisburg, SD.
This acquisition is part of Concrete Materials' strategic plan to grow their business and offer their customers a full line of aggregate based construction materials. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Concrete Materials prides itself in supplying the highest quality aggregates, ready mixed concrete, hot and cold mix asphalt products, and a variety of transportation solutions. With this recent block plant acquisition, they will now add concrete and landscaping block to their product list.
Concrete Materials is grateful for the continued support of their customers and know that the block plant will continue to meet and exceed their expectations with little change to day-to-day operations.
Gage Brothers Concrete Products, Inc. retained ownership and will continue operations at their precast plant located at West 12th St. and I-29.
